Cod4 Recording Issue

in cod4 i play fine ect ... dont get kicked .

When i do /record after around 1 minute i get kicked for even balance punkbuster kick 0 minutes . its not serius but i wana record my game play , if i do in concel i get kicked i ust fraps i lag ...

Anyone can help ?

Im having the exact same problem with fraps but never had any problems with /record.

Whats the kick message?

I just looked over several different Forums and it seems that you will need to update to the latest version of FRAPS as that may be what is causing this issue.Are you using an older version of FRAPS? If so there is a new version in the "Sharez" section that is available to paid members.

i use xfire pwns everytime its just dont use xfire for cod5 laggggggggg like a B**tch =)

The OLDER version of Fraps will get you kicked. Update to the latest version and you'll be fine.

Thanks for your help but i downloded new fraps and it shows up hacks on reply lol ,

i want to do /record in concel in game

the error message would be evenbalance needs update ect ... 0 minutes

but if i dont record i can play for ever lol , i have the latest pb from evenbalance lol...

You don't have to upload them to xfire. You can just leave them locally stored to your xfire folder, so you can edit them etc and then upload to youtube.

Im using the latest version of fraps and still getting kicked

Open cod4, go to options and enable the console.

Jump into server and type /record namehere so e.g. /record publol

When you are done recording just type /stoprecord or just close the game.

Now download this program (cod4player) http://www.cybopat.net/vb_cod4player_eng.php

Now after you have installed that, find the recording file here /activision/cod4/players/demos/publo or if you have played in a mod server then /activision/cod4/mods/modnamehere/publol

First try double clicking on the demo file, it should open cod4 using the program cod4player. (if that doesnt work, right click on the recording file and click open with and chose cod4player)

Now that your ingame looking at your record, run fraps and start recording (NO PB kick because technicly your not on a server)



Also if your viewing a demo in cod4player there are some neat little tools included, on your numpad press the following buttons to get the following actions.

Keypad:

8=ultra fast playback
5=normal speed playback
2=ultra slow playback
6=fast playback
4=slow playback
9=toggle show hud info
3=third person view
0=freeze demo
1&7=camera angle
+&-=camera range


I always use this method and it works like a charm
